These terms apply to the use of westoakinsurance.ca, operated by Westoak Insurance Group Inc. (“Westoak”). By using the website, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the site.
General information only
Website content is general information for Ontario consumers and businesses. It is not a policy, binder, quotation, legal opinion, financial recommendation or substitute for advice based on your circumstances. Coverage depends on the insurer, application, underwriting approval, policy wording, endorsements, limits, exclusions and applicable law. The insurance information disclaimer explains these limitations in more detail.
Although Westoak aims to keep information useful, insurance products, regulations and external guidance can change. A source-review date does not mean every statement remains current indefinitely.
No coverage is bound through the website
Submitting a form, sending email, leaving voicemail or receiving an automated confirmation does not bind, change, renew or cancel insurance. Coverage takes effect only after all requirements are satisfied and an authorized broker or insurer provides confirmation.
Do not rely on an electronic message for an urgent coverage change. Speak with an authorized representative and obtain written confirmation. If a deadline, cancellation or uninsured loss is imminent, use the contact information on your policy documents as well as notifying Westoak.
Quotations and applications
Any indication of price or coverage is subject to complete and accurate information, insurer rules and final approval. You are responsible for reviewing application answers and policy documents and for identifying errors promptly. Material facts and changes should be disclosed.
Westoak cannot promise that a particular insurer, policy or premium will be available. The insurer’s issued contract governs if website language differs from the policy.
Permitted use
You may use this website for lawful personal or business information and to contact Westoak about legitimate insurance needs. You must not attempt to disrupt the site, gain unauthorized access, introduce malicious code, scrape it in a way that impairs service, impersonate another person or submit unlawful, misleading or abusive material.
We may restrict access when reasonably necessary to protect the website, users or business systems.
Intellectual property
Unless otherwise stated, website text, design, graphics and other original materials belong to Westoak or are used under licence. You may print or save a reasonable copy for personal reference. Republishing, selling or materially adapting the content requires prior written permission unless permitted by law.
